Dear Friends and Neighbours in Pine Meadows
And many women have asked. “Do men come with communication or do you have to buy it separately?”
How is everyone doing. I hope you are all well.
I am writing this email to update you on the changes to our new COVID-19 world. As you know Don Vallery with the approval of our Public Health officials, has decided to open the Recreation Centre to visitors effective Tuesday, September 8th. There is no change to the visitor policy as written in the Pine Meadows Recreation Facilities and Activities Rights and Responsibilities Item 3.1 “Guests/visitors of residents are permitted into the Recreation Centre only when accompanied by their sponsoring resident”. I must say that I, like a number of you, am cautiously optimistic but continue to rely on the authorities who have steered us through this pandemic for the past 6 months to keep us on the right track. Yes, it’s been 6 months. We have all worked very hard to practice what is required to keep ourselves safe and healthy. Now, more than ever, we must remain vigilant in wearing masks in the Community Centre, remaining at least 6 feet distanced from others and washing our hands frequently or using hand sanitizer where soap and water are not available. In order to assist Public Health in tracing the possible spread of the virus, we have decided to place a sign-in/out sheet at the front entrance in the Community Centre and in the Grand Hall. When a visitor or guest enters the Community Centre we are asking them and their accompanying resident to sign in and out on the form provided. Please remember to sanitize your hands after making your entries on the form. This information is another layer of protection for your health. The last thing we want to see in Pine Meadows is the virus, but if somehow, someone who is infected uses the Community Centre, we need as much information as possible to give to Public Health to allow them to trace others who may have been in contact and take measures to stop the spread immediately.
Don Vallery has set up deep cleaning of the Grand Hall when it is rented for a function which includes outside visitors. At the end of the function the Hall will be closed off from everyone while it is being deep cleaned (within 24 hours after the event). The cost of the cleaning will be borne by the party renting the Hall.
Stay Well Everyone……………………. Joe Piercey
