Just a brief warning about a new scam I heard about yesterday.

For those of us who are customers of Netflash, you will know that Netflash is coming to all of our homes this week to make an adjustment to our modems which will allow them to be compatible with the new high speed cable which was run into our community last fall. It seems, (as a neighbour reported to me) that there are people who are calling Netflash customers saying that a technician is coming to do some work on their system and that we need to have money (up to $500.00) ready to pay the technician when he arrives. I contacted Netflash to relay this information and was told in no uncertain terms that this service is FREE OF CHARGE to Pine Meadows residents.

If you receive such a call. Please just hang up your phone and carry on with your day.
